Position Description:

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Parts Associate is responsible for communicating with employees, vendors, and managers to coordinate the timely repairs for equipment breakdowns, regularly scheduled maintenance, and inspections. This position also includes but is not limited to costing, ordering, stocking of operational materials, supplies, inventory control and recordkeeping.

  • Ability to prioritize and effectively organize duties
  • Proven accuracy and detail orientated
  • Self motivated and positive attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task to meet the demands of the position
  • Ability to lift up-to 23 kg (50 lbs.)

Experience & Education:

  • High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Mechanical experience and/or shop experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver customer service
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers licence or higher
  • Knowledge of computer applications including Windows, Office 365 and databases

Job duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service by maintaining effective communication with customers to determine their needs and address any concerns
  • Maintain parts inventory
  • Source parts and vendors as required
  • Order appropriate quantities of stock and special-order items
  • Generate parts orders
  • Communicate any concerns to the Parts Manager
  • Maintain store organization, cleanliness and ensure all company property is accounted for and treated with reasonable care
  • Work closely with the Rentals, Sales and Service departments for daily operations as needed
  • Ensuring compliance to all appropriate health & safety legislation and corporate health & safety policy.
