HOURS of WORK:

Full-Time, flexible to mutually agreed upon hours, as required at peak times i.e. month-end, fiscal year-end etc.

Position Description:

Jacobson & Greiner Group is currently hiring for the full-time position of Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for assigned accounting functions as follows:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Reconcile financial information between external software and accounting software
  • Prepare year end package for the external accountant
  • Follow up on payment status with credit customers
  • Manage cash flow cycle for the business
  • Prepare & file government remittances
  • Reconciliation of various balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Prepare internal management reports as required to assist with business decision making
  • Collaborates with other accounting staff to support and enable department to meet overall goals and objectives

 

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in an accounting role with direct experience in preparing monthly financial statements
  • CPA Designation or current pursuit of a CPA designation is considered an asset, but not required
  • Experience working in a vehicle or recreational vehicle dealership is considered an asset
  • Experience working in a garage or auto service shop is considered an asset
  • Experience with foreign exchange transactions an asset
  • Experience with Point of Sales system an asset
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage workflow to hit deadlines
  • Exceptional time management skills, working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex issues to senior management
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience with Sage 300 & advanced excel functions is considered an asset
