Position Description:

  • Reporting to the Director of Brand Management, the Social Media Manager is responsible to grow and engage prospects on social media that will lead to sales for companies within the J&G Group.

Job Duties:

Content Creation

  • Be the market leader by creating content that is both engaging and informational.
  • Photography/videography- take professional shots of retail products, builds & various other projects. Monitor & article photo library.
  • Websites- review & improve content for companies within the group. Ensure that information is up-to-date, relevant and leads to sales. Think of innovative ways to improve SEO.
  • Social media campaigns – Be proactive and have frequent communication with divisional managers. Learn about current product lines etc. and design/run campaigns to help achieve sales goals.

Research & Development

  • Keep a close eye on industry happenings & competitors. Conduct field work and provide essential information/ideas to management to support strategic decision making.
  • Continuous commitment to research/learning about social media platforms & trends.
  • Work in coordination with management and staff alike to identify opportunities for sales, engage in promotions and achieve overall marketing goals.

Education & Experience:

  • Education & previous work experience in social media, marketing & sales
  • Experience in community engagement
  • Excellent communication & technology skills
  • Ability to work in a team setting and independently
  • Exceptional time management skills, working in a fast-paced environment
