Position Summary:

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Receiver is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and the safe handling of products.

Job Duties:

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Receive inventory and confirm accuracy of orders including but not limited to flooring (boxed and rolls), ceramic tile, adhesives.
  • Safe handling of materials/inventory
  • Organize and tag orders for customer pickup/delivery
  • Cut rolled flooring as per specifications given
  • Safe operation of company vehicles
  • Load, unload and delivering products to job sites/customers homes
  • Confirmation of customer orders
  • Maintain a neat and organized workspace
  • Contribute to and maintain a safe working environment communicating unsafe work conditions, acts and injuries to the Manager/Safety Officer

Requirements:

  • Valid class 5 drivers licence is required, valid class 3 drivers licence is an asset
  • Forklift & OTR vehicle driving skills (can be trained)
  • Reliable, professional and organized personality
  • Familiarity with building materials
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Basic mathematical and inventory management skills
  • Capable of lifting and moving merchandise up to and including 50-75lbs for up to 8 hours per shift
  • Must have the ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours
  • Must have the ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes
  • Requires full of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to use hands, arms and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods
